5:08 Le chanteur de Guns N'Roses poursuivi par d'anciens membres
LOS ANGELES - Le chanteur de Guns N'Roses, Axl Rose, est poursuivi en justice par deux anciens membres du groupe de hard rock. Ils l'accusent d'usurpation de droits d'auteur, a-t-on appris vendredi de source judiciaire.
Saul Hudson, alias «Slash», et Michael McKagan, surnommé «Duff», respectivement guitariste et bassiste du groupe qui connut un succès planétaire entre 1987 et 1993, accusent William Bailey, plus connu sous le nom de scène d'Axl Rose, d'avoir revendu le catalogue des chansons à une maison de disques britannique sans leur accord.
Rose se serait en outre arrogé le premier chèque de royalties trimestriel de 92 000 dollars versé plus tôt cette année par cette société, faisant preuve, selon le texte de la plainte déposée au tribunal fédéral de Los Angeles, «d'arrogance et d'égocentrisme».
Axl Rose, aurait, selon cette plainte, modifié les ayants droits des chansons du groupe à son profit, en effectuant fin mai une fausse déclaration à la Société des auteurs, compositeurs et interprètes américaine (ASCAP).
Le chanteur refuse selon Hudson et McKagan de «reconnaître les contributions des anciens membres du groupe à certaines des plus grandes chansons du rock», alors que le catalogue des oeuvres de Guns N'Roses génère, selon eux, quelque 500 000 dollars de revenus par an.
Guns N'Roses, groupe formé en 1985 à Los Angeles, a marqué son époque avec des chansons violentes comme «Welcome to the Jungle» mais aussi des ballades lyriques comme «November Rain», et vendu plus de 50 millions d'albums, dont le dernier, «The Spaghetti Incident», est sorti en 1993.

Un jeune groupe de Laon, Kryzalid (thrash heavy), va sortir son premier album en octobre 2005.
Je trouve les deux mp3 de la démo assez bons.

Les Limougeauds Cipher (thrash/black/death/heavy, originaires de Bordeaux aussi si j'ai suivi) vont sortir d'ici peu Désertion, leur second démo-album.
Le son du précédent, Epidemia, est pourri mais "y'a un truc, une personnalité" (mais qu'est-ce que c'est que cette description de genre ?).
Ils donneront un concert au White Grouse à Limoges le samedi 17 septembre en compagnie de Deep Vein, un groupe de Poitiers.

Le groupe de Nordic folk metal MIDNATTSOL est en pleine composition. Les nouvelles chansons s’avèrent beaucoup plus folk et un peu plus lourdes que sur « Where Twilight Dwells », leur album précédent. Le groupe envisage peut-être d’utiliser une voix masculine aux côtés de celle de Carmen Elise, mais ce n’est pour l’instant qu’une hypothèse.

ARCTURUS appear on MTV's Dirty Sanchez, filmed during the Inferno Festival earlier this year. The show featuring the band will be broadcasted on the 18th of September 2005 at 10.30pm (BST). MTV UK's popular production Dirty Sanchez appeared at Inferno during their Special European Tour. They did a special feature on Friday the 25th of March 2005 at the big venue Rockefeller in the changeover between AURA NOIR and ARCTURUS.

Dirty Sanchez is part documentary, part reality and 100% outrageous. Over the course of two series it has chronicled the insane lives of four professional skateboarders.

Back in 2003, Dirty Sanchez Season One saw Pritchard, Dainton, Pancho and Dan Joyce, in their native Wales, indulging in all manner of weird and wonderful wickedness in the name of entertainment. It was a smash hit for MTV UK, and 2003's highest rated home-grown show. The series went on to be number one in many countries around the world as well as a hit on DVD, and Channel 4* in the UK. The success of this series saw MTV swiftly commissioning a second series, and this year, Dirty Sanchez 2: Jobs For The Boyos saw our hapless heroes trying to make something of themselves in a range of professions. They brought their unique brand of apathy to a Royal Marines Boot Camp, an Airport Firefighting Service, a Belfast Building Site and they even attempted Ranching in Arizona. In the process they proved beyond a shadow of a doubt their aversion to anything resembling exertion. The series was MTV UK's highest rated homegrown show for a second year running, and was released as a double disk DVD on Oct 25th 2004; the same week as its terrestrial premiere again on Channel 4*.

The event will take place at the Rockefeller Music Hall in Oslo, Norway.

Expect many guests and various surprises during the shows!

All gigs will be shot by a professional film crew. There will be cameras fixed to guitars, pole cams, and other cool stuff. The footage will then be released either on separate DVD's – one per band, or as bonuses for forthcoming CD + DVD packages.

Legio Media , the company run by Obsidian of Satyricon, will organize a live streaming of the show on the internet.

Tickets price is 200 NOK + 25 NOK fee. Doors open at 8.00pm. This is an 18 and over show.

After entering the Swedish chart for Hard Rock / Heavy Metal last week, ARCTURUS' "Sideshow Symphonies" now hits the Norwegian Top 100! Especially note that this isn't an Indie chart, but the only chart existing in Norway. Their album entered on position 53.

Legendary Black Metallers EMPEROR Talk About Decision To Reunite - Oct. 1, 2005

Black metal legends EMPEROR reunited after four years to play a surprise three-song set for Norwegian metal magazine Scream's 15-year anniversary which took place at Oslo's Rockefeller Friday night (Sept. 30). Norwegian metal radio show "Tinitus" was at the venue to witness the historical moment. In exclusive interview conducted in English with the radio show producer Patrizia Mazzuoccolo prior to the gig, original members Ihshan and Samoth, alongside drummer Trym, discussed the reason behind the event. "We are not playing a full show tonight," Samoth explained. "This is a short teaser that we are using to announce full headline shows we are doing next year. This is a cooler way of announcing them instead of telling people through our web site." It was announced last night after the band's set that EMPEROR will headline the Inferno festival (April 13-15, 2006) in Oslo, Norway and Wacken Open Air (August 3-5, 2006) in Wacken, Germany next year.


The illustrious black metal band, whose split in 2001 took the scene by surprise, performed three tracks — "The Loss And Curse Of Reverence", "I Am The Black Wizards", "Inno A Satana" — and received a rapturous welcome by an ecstatic crowd. Announced as a "big surprise band," the whole arrangement was so secret that neither organizers of the magazine's anniversary party nor the band itself told their closest friends and associates until yesterday — amongst others, original EMPEROR drummer Faust, a member of SCUM alongside guitarist Samoth, was not present. "It's been a pain in the ass to keep it from friends actually," offers Samoth, "but we had to do it properly or not do it at all so we decided to keep it as secret as we could. Faust is doing a show in Notodden with BLOOD TSUNAMI tonight so he couldn't have made it anyway…"

With Samoth and Trym recording a third ZYKLON album in November and Ihshan releasing a solo album in March next year, what are the probabilities of a new EMPEROR release?

Consécration pour Sentenced !

SENTENCED a reçu un disque d'or pour les 15000 exemplaires vendus de "The Funeral Album". Le groupe a donné son dernier concert le 1er Octobre dernier à Oulu en Finlande, concert qui a été filmé pour figurer sur un dvd qui sortira l'année prochaine.
